We start from CoinGecko's trust score (liquidity, volume integrity, API quality) and, where an exchange publishes a live status feed, adjust it for current incidents. Every figure comes from a named source; we never estimate proof-of-reserves or flow figures.
Live operational status is shown for exchanges that publish a public status feed. Every other exchange is scored on its CoinGecko trust score, with its trust rank and 24-hour volume alongside, and is marked 'Trust score only'. It is not a negative signal.
